When Do Orders Ship
Our shipping season begins in March and continues through December, weather permitting. Shipping is closed from December 24th to March 1st. If you place an order during this time, it will ship once shipping resumes in March.
Early Spring & FALL APPEARANCE NOTICE: plants will be just waking up and will usually be smaller in early Spring. In the Fall, plants will be starting to go dormant (leaves turning color and dropping).
Once your plant order is ready for shipping, you will be notified by email with your shipping date.
We have been growing and maintaining plants for over 30 years and are experts on knowing when our plants are ready to leave our care and ship to you the customer. We source only the best, highest-quality products from top Canadian and USA nurseries.
We cannot guarantee a time during the day but if you are not home it will be placed in a safe place. Or if you like please email us with placement details if you are not home. If special placement is required this needs to be an easy and fast place to get to. Our drivers are very busy, so we take photos of the product once delivered, then move on. You will be emailed by our delivery crew updating you that your plants have arrived.
You do not need to be home to accept delivery. We will leave your plant order near the front door, side yard, or in back yard*(conditions may apply).
You can always request a special ship date while placing your order. For example, if you want to order early for a special event such as a wedding. This is a service our company happily provides, and we always recommend ordering sooner rather than later to ensure availability for your event. Just send us the details in the online Special Request Form.
Delivery Fees and Order Lead Time:
Delivery rates are determined by weight, size and destination. Bulky and/or heavy items may have an addition fee.
To determine the delivery fee for your order and order lead time, add the item(s) to cart and enter the delivery postal code in the Shipping Add Info section.
* Plant Central regular delivery area boundries: West/East; London, Ontario - Peterborough, Ontario. As far North as Barrie, Ontario.
** Plant Central reserves the right to decline free or flat rate shipping rates due to out of the ordinary delivery requirements or costs.
*** Due to strict export regulations; Plant Central does not ship outside of Canada.
Out of Town and Special Delivery:
If you have an Out of Town delivery or you receive an delivery notice that you're not in our delivery area, please send us your plant list and your delivery address for a quote.
Delivery fees to Out of Town areas is usually quite high, but if you email us your plant list and delivery address, we can sometimes match you up with another delivery to save some money.
Apartment Buildings / Condos / High-rise Buildings
Plants tend to be messy, so we only deliver plants to an outside location. If you live in a condo/town-home/apartment building that has a front porch etc that is accessible, you're good.
We will not leave your plant order with a concierge or doorman.
Alternatively, meet our delivery team outside to accept your order or have your order delivered and accepted by a friend/family member with a home/porch.
Plant Central has it’s own delivery team and delivery vehicles to ensure you the best possible delivery service! We don't use a courier service send your orders.
We do guarantee that the plants ordered will arrive to your house happy & healthy, but we cannot guarantee a plant will live once it is out of our possession. Damaged branches and leaves that occur during shipping are not considered defective or damaged, as this is normal wear and tear that plants can easily recover from. Please Contact Us within 24 hours of delivery with any issues with the plant(s)/product(s) you received. This can include damaged product (ie tree truck scratched up, broken pottery).
PlantCentral.ca will not accept the return of damaged product or products that have not been properly watered. The onus of proof of damage prior to delivery resides with the customer.
Please NOTE* PlantCentral.ca does not take responsibility for stolen plants, plants damaged by animals, vandalism, neglect, and/or storm damage.
**Please water your plants upon arrival and give them water daily until planting, once planted continue to water as needed. It is recommended to schedule delivery when you're ready to plant.
