How to Order Online?
Step 1: Get Inspired
Whether you’re looking to add a special plant to beautify your garden, or hoping to be inspired by something unique and perfectly suited for your landscape, PlantCentral has a wide selection of the highest quality plants for you to choose online. From trees, shrubs and vines to stunning flowering perennials, color-rich tropicals or delicious edibles, our plants are grown beautifully to thrive, ready for you to enjoy in your home and landscape.
Step 2: Select Your Perfect Plant
Select from our extensive plant list organized by plant type, new plants, and even specials.
Ordering during the winter? No problem! We will care for your plants until spring and then ship them to you when they are in prime condition for shipping.
Our plant inventory changes daily, even hourly during peak season, so be sure to check often for newly added plants. If a plant that you would like is out of stock or is not listed, please check back again, or do a Special Request for it.
Step 3: Review Your Order & Payment
The online purchase area of plantcentral.ca is secure. This means that any personal and private information you provide to us is protected by encryption and SSL (secure socket layer) technology. You will notice on each page, including the payment page has a 'lock icon' in the status bar of your browser.
Fill in the required information for shipping and payment. Complete payment.
Step 4: Review Your Confirmation Email
You will receive a confirmation email with an order summary. Review your order. If any changes are needed, please Contact Us within 24 hours with the requested changes.
You will receive email(s) with updates regarding your order including when your order has been shipped.
You can request changes to your order up to one business day (24 hours) after your order is placed.
Please ensure that you select your products carefully, including the quantity, as we will not exchange or refund products that have been incorrectly ordered. Orders cancelled/changed after 24 hours will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. We will issue a store credit for the item(s) cancelled/changed. If a credit card refund is requested, your order will be subject to an additional admin fee of 3.5%; this is to cover credit card processing fees. Please Contact Us within 24 hours with the requested changes.
Step 5: Get Growing
You receive your plants. Get planting. Enjoy your new plants and landscape!
**Please water your plants upon arrival and give them water daily until planting, once planted continue to water as needed. It is recommended to schedule delivery when you're ready to plant.
When Do Orders Ship
Our shipping season begins in March and continues through December, weather permitting. Shipping is closed from December 24th to March 1st. If you place an order during this time, it will ship once shipping resumes in March.
Early Spring & FALL APPEARANCE NOTICE: plants will be just waking up and will usually be smaller in early Spring. In the Fall, plants will be starting to go dormant (leaves turning color and dropping).
Once your plant order is ready for shipping, you will be notified by email with your shipping date.
We have been growing and maintaining plants for over 30 years and are experts on knowing when our plants are ready to leave our care and ship to you the customer. We source only the best, highest-quality products from top Canadian and USA nurseries.
We cannot guarantee a time during the day but if you are not home it will be placed in a safe place. Or if you like please email us with placement details if you are not home. If special placement is required this needs to be an easy and fast place to get to. Our drivers are very busy, so we take photos of the product once delivered, then move on. You will be emailed by our delivery crew updating you that your plants have arrived.
You do not need to be home to accept delivery. We will leave your plant order near the front door, side yard, or in back yard*(conditions may apply).
You can always request a special ship date while placing your order. For example, if you want to order early for a special event such as a wedding. This is a service our company happily provides, and we always recommend ordering sooner rather than later to ensure availability for your event. Just send us the details in the online Special Request Form.
