Stately color in two extremes. The first is a refreshing bright green and cream, with hints of pale pink on the margins. The second is in fall when the whole plant erupts into a fabulous burgundy and hot pink duo. Even the stems are burgundy! If you’ve ever seen a tri-color beech, Sgt. Pepper™ dogwood is a lot like that, but in a much easier to use form. With its large size, it makes a great anchor for the garden. You can position it at the back of the garden to work as a foundation plant, breaking up the straight lines of a building with its rounded form. It would also make an incredible hedge or specimen plant.

Sgt Pepper Dogwood does best in full sun to partial shade. It is an amazingly adaptable plant, tolerating both dry conditions and even some standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception.
