Cherry Berry Hosta
Hosta 'Cherry Berry' | USDA Zone: 4-8 |
Cherry Berry Hosta has long thin leaves with a dark green margin merging with a golden yellow center that eventually seasons to white in summer. One of my favorite hostas to watch bloom. Seeing those bright red scapes emerge from the attractive foliage is beautiful! Violet flowers on extremely bright red scapes produce heavily sought after red seed pods that last well into the fall.
Moderate growth rate.
Attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

Hostas are exceedingly popular perennials in today's gardens due to their versatility in the landscape. Their subtle colors, tall flower scapes, and broad, coarse leaves fill a niche in garden designs that few other plants can achieve. Their large leaves provide excellent coverage for dying bulb foliage. Hostas also grow well in city environments where the air may be polluted by car exhaust, etc. |
