Spathiphyllum spp. | USDA Zone: 9-11 |
The Peace Lily houseplant is a vibrant and graceful tropical plant. A striking plant when used in mass display, the peace lily blooms in spring with long-lasting flower stalks that hover gracefully over the foliage. The plant has glossy oval leaves with points that emerge from the soil. A well-grown peace lily may bloom twice a year, resulting in several months of flowers.
Peace Lily helps purify the air, absorbs acetone vapors, promotes restful sleep, and removes mold spores from the air.

Peace lilies when grown indoors prefer a bit more filtered light, though not direct sunlight. Peace lilies much prefer being underwatered rather than overwatered, so take care to water them only when they're dry at least an inch below the surface. The ideal temperature range for your peace lily is 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. To aid with humidity, mist the leaves 1-3 every week with softened or distilled water. Peace lilies appreciate frequent feedings, which result in the strongest plant and seasonal blooming. Feed your plant weekly in the summer or use slow-release pellets at the beginning of the season. You do not need to fertilize the plant during the winter. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception. NOTE: Some flowers and plants may be harmful or poisonous to people or pets if touched or ingested. If you require more information before placing an order, please let us know in advance. |
