When it comes to blooming, Tuff Stuff Ah-Ha hydrangea can't stop, won't stop!
At first glance, it would appear that we decided to introduce this beautiful mountain hydrangea solely for its waterlily-like double florets. But that's only part of the story - this is also one of the most prolific reblooming hydrangeas we've ever seen. All summer long, it devotes its energies to creating flower buds on its new growth so that you have a constant supply of fabulous blooms from early summer through frost. Tuff Stuff Ah-Ha® hydrangea will bloom pink or blue, depending on soil chemistry.
Top reasons to grow Tuff Stuff Ah-Ha® Hydrangea:
- Our best rebloomer yet - creates new flower buds all summer long
- Double florets look like pink or blue waterlilies

Flower Colour: Blue / Pink Shades |
Mountain Hydrangea are strong rebloomers on both old and new wood. Compact habit. Autumn foliage provides additional interest with rich bronze red tones. Prefers moist, well-drained soils. Soil will affect bloom color. In acidic soils with good aluminum availability the flowers will be light blue. They will turn lavender-pink in more basic soils. Pruning is generally not needed, but the plant may be shaped immediately after the first bloom of the season. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception. NOTE: Some flowers and plants may be harmful or poisonous to people or pets if touched or ingested. If you require more information before placing an order, please let us know in advance. |
