Sunsparkler® Dazzling Dynamite Stonecrop has masses of beautiful clusters of pink star-shaped flowers with red eyes rising above the foliage from mid summer to early fall, which are most effective when planted in groupings. The flowers are excellent for cutting. Its attractive succulent oval leaves emerge steel blue in spring, turning plum purple in colour with distinctive orange edges and tinges of red throughout the season. The burgundy stems can be quite attractive.
A compact stonecrop presenting clusters of pink flowers held atop interesting plum purple, orange, and yellow succulent foliage; a drought-tolerant perennial that does best in poor soils; a colorful groundcover or feature in containers or rock gardens.

Thrives in average to very lean, well-drained soils. Shelter from harsh afternoon exposures in hot summer regions. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system; reduce frequency, once established. For a tidy appearance, remove old, faded foliage before new leaves emerge. Dazzling Dynamite Stonecrop is a fine choice for the garden, but it is also a good selection for planting in outdoor pots and containers. Because of its spreading habit of growth, it is ideally suited for use as a 'spiller' in the 'spiller-thriller-filler' container combination; plant it near the edges where it can spill gracefully over the pot. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception.
