Magical® Ruby Red Hydrangea features showy clusters of ruby-red flowers at the ends of the branches from late spring to early fall. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It has forest green foliage throughout the season. The serrated oval leaves turn an outstanding burgundy in the fall.
The red blooms of this variety are a terrific, colorful addition to the garden or border; deep ruby blooms mature to wonderful tints of copper and maroon in fall.

Provide organically rich, well-drained soil. Apply mulch to conserve moisture and protect in harsh winters. Water deeply, regularly in first growing season to establish extensive root system. Soil and water pH influences bloom color; consult garden center for suitable amendments. Feed in early spring. Blooms on old and new wood; Prune to shape after flowering. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected.
