Pansies are very easy to grow and require only a minimum of care to provide a very long flowering season. Available in a wide variety of individual colors and mixes.
Growers Tip: Pansies will flower even more profusely and longer if spent flower heads are removed. During the hottest months, cut the plants back and mulch to conserve moisture. When cooler weather returns in the fall pansies will reward you with a second show of blooms.
Bloom period: April-June; September-October
Sun Exposure: Sun, part sun
More About Pansy |
Grows easily in moist, well-drained, enriched soils. Best in partial sun in extremely warm areas; flowers may pause briefly during extreme summer heat. Add a layer of mulch to conserve moisture. Feed when new growth begins in spring. May be pruned back in summer after flowering, to rejuvenate. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception. NOTE: Some flowers and plants may be harmful or poisonous to people or pets if touched or ingested. If you require more information before placing an order, please let us know in advance. |
