Honeymoon® Romantic Getaway Hellebore features showy nodding burgundy cup-shaped flowers with violet overtones, chartreuse eyes and white edges at the ends of the stems from late winter to early spring. Its glossy oval compound leaves remain green in colour throughout the year.
This attractive variety produces vigorous mounds of thick evergreen leaves; flower stalks, held occasionally above the foliage bear showy dark red patterned flowers with white edges and yellow-green centers; an outstanding selection for shade gardens.

Prefers humus-rich, well-drained soil and consistent moisture to establish, then are carefree. Spent flower heads can be cut back to promote new foliage growth or to prevent unwanted volunteer seedlings. Many plantlets will form around base of parent plant and will bloom around the third year if left alone. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception.
