Yellow Submarine Rose is covered in stunning lightly-scented semi-double lemon yellow flowers with creamy white overtones and gold eyes at the ends of the branches from late spring to late summer. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It has dark green deciduous foliage. The glossy oval compound leaves turn yellow in fall.
One of the newer yellow shrub roses, this is rapidly gaining favor with gardeners for its abundance of bright yellow flowers that fade through various shades of softer yellow and finally to white, resulting in a delighful blend of colors on a single plant.

Ideal to integrate into shrub or mixed borders for solid, long-season color without additional care. Makes a fine addition to south and west facing foundation beds. Use in the back of perennial borders to intensify season long color. Plant in irregular groupings for a large scale cover that blocks weeds. Great in pairs to flank an entry, steps or gate. Plant en masse to create a low, semi-formal hedge or to clean up unattractive paving edges around porches and patios. This Rose should only be grown in full sunlight. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception.
