More About Dwarf Alberta Spruce |
Height: 6 -8 ft |
Spread: 4-5 ft |
Dwarf Alberta Spruce is a perfect front yard Christmas tree for holiday lighting at small city homes. Dense growth means it's also a great screen plant that won't overgrow tight spaces. Use symmetrical form as a single accent, in matched pair or in an evenly spaced series amidst hedges and parterres. Experiment with topiary spirals or poodles for potted specimens on entries and patios, where there's no room to plant. A beautiful choice for woodland gardens or behind water features. Tolerates a wide range of well-drained soils. Thrives in cold winter, cool summer areas. Site a few feet from structures to allow good air circulation. Will benefit from being planted in a relatively sheltered location. Water deeply, regularly during the first growing season to establish an extensive root system. Fertilize before new growth begins in spring. Prune topiary forms regularly to maintain shape. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden. Be aware that in our climate, most plants cannot be expected to survive the winter if left in containers outdoors, and this plant is no exception. NOTE: Some flowers and plants may be harmful or poisonous to people or pets if touched or ingested. If you require more information before placing an order, please let us know in advance. |
